If you have many indicators to add or change, you will find the spreadsheet-based import functionality much more practical. than the one-by-one interactive system.
Important
The best way to learn about what needs to be entered in each of the columns of the spreadsheet is to first create several indicators using the interactive on-line system, or at least have it open at the same time. You should only begin using the spreadsheet import function once you're familiar with the system.
If there is no Opal3 ID in the first column, multiple uploads of the same spreadsheet will create multiple indicators!
If there is an existing Opal3 ID in the first column the specified indicator will be amended.

Principles
The merged cells in the first heading row specify the major sections.
The column headings in the second heading row carry information and instructions. Float your cursor over a cell to see more detail.
Each column relates to a different aspect of an indicator.
Each row relates to a single indicator.
As far as possible, cell content is determined by the content of pull-down menus. Take care not to paste non-matching content into any of these cells.
Everything is a replication of the interactive on-line system (see here and here for more information), with the exception of the first three columns.
