The conceptual architecture at the core of Opal3 is in the shape of a cube. The superscripted ‘3’ in the name can be viewed to represent the multi dimensional aspect of the cube – e.g., Outcomes, Organisational Units and Strategic Objectives.
The idea behind this architecture is that, as a user, you can slice and dice the data cube in any way you like, to arrive at exactly the one perspective (or report) on organizational performance that is most useful to you.
All of the reportable units are housed in the data cube. The reportable units in turn have a more traditional pyramid structure.
