You can use Opal3 to perform a range of calculations on the results of lower level indicators and present the result for evaluation at a higher level (target) indicator. For example, as a manager, you may want to review the total amount of money spent by each of your managers in a given period. At the same time, you may also want to combine all of these figures into a total and use that to report to your boss.
You can automatically roll up the results from among your lower level linked indicators to the target indicator for:
- non-financial indicators
- percentage (per 100), as an overall percentage or a running total
- permillage (per 1000), as an overall permillage or a running total
- yes/no responses as a percentage of yes responses
- number, as an average or a running total
- currency, as as an average or a running total
- financial indicators as a total (actual vs budgeted), including variance calculations.
To use this functionality, go to the "links" page of any intended target indicator and click on "automatic roll-up calculations". You can then choose from among underlying indicators to perform the required calculation:
