Performance Indicators (or Performance Measures) are reportable units that require regular updates in terms of numbers, traffic lights and/or commentary. Opal3 takes account of three different types of indicators: Non-financial, financial and risk based indicators.

In principle,Oopal3's performance indicators can contain the following data:

  • Non-financial (NF)

  • Financial (FIN)

  • Expected (E)

  • Risk (R) and/or residual risk (r)

Practically, your imagination is the limit. Some common examples are

  • Amount of money spent or earned in relation to budgets and forecasts

  • Level of support achieved

  • Percentage of turnover

  • Leave balances

  • Employee engagement scores

  • Level to which a task or sub-task has been achieved

  • Permillage (eg., Number of hits per 1000 respondents)

  • Client satisfaction ratings

  • Number of complaints or compliments received

  • Degree to wich a task or sub-task is on schedule

  • Number of widgets sold

  • Market share

  • All forms of risk ranging from strategic to operational

  • Highlights of the past reporting period

  • Issues encountered during the past reporting period

Note that each indicator, independent of type, has a comment field, although this is can be auto-filled for indicators that have automatic colour criteria.

This section of the [Admin] menu allows you to tailor your indicators to your exact requirements:
